Cars built in 1975 mounted a 351 cu in (5.8 L) Windsor V8 from Ford, a change which required an extensive redesign of the car's subframe. With a single two-barrel carburetor this later engine produces 175 hp (130.5 kW) and 286 ft⋅lb (387.8 N⋅m) of torque.

Production at the plant began in mid 1974 and continued through late 1975 with three model years resulting (1974, 1975 & 1976). There were 2854 cars built before Bricklin went bankrupt. An estimated 1500 still exist today.

1. Porsche 911 turbo – 4.9 secs. Also known as the 930, the Porsche 911 turbo stood proud as the quickest car built in the 1970s. The Bricklin SVI models were manufactured in Saint Johns, New Brunswick by Bricklin Canada. The body was made with fiberglass reinforced material. There were no wide seams or gaps, and the exterior colors included Safety Red, Safety Green, Safety White, Safety Orange and Safety Suntan.
