Honda City e: HEV
Coming to the only sedan on the list, we have the Honda City e: HEV. The Honda City is a name tag that needs no introduction. It has been a heartthrob of Indian users for 25 years and is still one of the best sedans in its segment. The Honda City e: HEV is the hybrid version of the City that adds strong hybrid tech to its engine. Combined, the engine and hybrid tech lead to a fantastic mileage of 26.5 Km/l.
Regarding performance figures, the system combined churns out a power output of 124 hp and 127 Nm of torque. Maruti Suzuki Celerio
We enter the Hatchback territory with a car that has recently faded away in importance. The Celerio sometimes gets lost in the crowd of the Altos, the WagonRs, and the Kwids. That being said, the Celerio in itself is an excellent package. It is a compact car with respectable performance, incredible mileage, good features and a fair price tag. Where it outdoes all of its competitors is in mileage numbers. Maruti Suzuki claims you can get a fuel economy of 25.24 Km/l with the manual and 26.68 Km/l with the Automatic version of the Celerio. This is not only the highest among sedans but also the highest when it comes to non-hybrid cars.

Swift has ranked high in the sales charts of Indian cars for a long time now. It offers a premium sedan experience with fun driving dynamics and impressive fuel economy. It represents almost everything a person in that price range wants: a spacious car with decent looks, stable performance, ultimate reliability and, most importantly, sane mileage. What exactly are these mileage numbers? If you get a petrol manual, it is 24.35 Km/l, and for an automatic, it goes up to 25.19 km/l. Do you know a fun fact about it?
