It ruined Pixar's Reputation for 4-5 years While Cars 2 was like the films before it a box office success, It received Mixed to negative reviews from critics calling it wildly inferior to Toy Story 3 and all the other Pixar Films. Afterwards, the pixar films that followed like Brave (2012), while not bad, didn’t Reach the pixar standard, which was a bit unfair as Pixar does have a GIGANTIC Standard. It wasn’t until Inside Out (2015) that Pixar became amazing Again.

  2. Focus on Mater While focusing on a sidekick can lead to success ( Finding Dory (2016) ), it is not always a good idea ( Minions (2015) ). Mater is sadly no different. While Lightning Mcqueen (Real name Montgomery) is not the best protagonist, he is at least likeable and has a great character design. Mater is just a immature idiot who doesn’t do well as the hero.

  3. Its a Cash-Grab To explain #10, When the Original Cars (2006) released, Pixar released what they called “Die-Casts”. Simply, They were a HUGE hit and pixar received lots of money from them. Since it benefited them financially, they decided to make a sequel at the cost of no credibility.

  4. Bad Humour While Humour isn’t exactly a notable point of Pixar, They for the most part are pretty funny in some bits. In Cars 2, instead of the comedy coming from the delivery of the actors, after the toilet scene Mater Farts. IN A PIXAR MOVIE?

  5. Lack of Heart and Charm Practically the most loved part of Pixar (Beside there Animation) is the Timeless heart and charm of their films. It is essential to almost every single one of their movie. Cars 2 does not have it. While it has one or 2 nice, smile moments, There is nothing tear Jerking to be found in this particular flick.

  6. The world of Cars becomes even more confusing The Biggest Problem of the Original Cars (2006) was that while it was interesting to see a world of Cars, they had no reason to be. In the sequel it become even more confusing. Why is there a Car Pope? Why is there fences on the side of the road? How on earth are the Cars Alive? World building is needed.

  7. Scenes of Death and Murder with a G-Rating While some PG Movies can serve as G, the same cannot be said for Cars 2. Before Finn is discovered at the start of the film, Grem and Acer Show the CUBED CRUSHED REMAINS Leland Turbo. After the Party prior to the first race, The Agent who gave Mater the information, is IMPLODED. How on earth is this a DISNEY MOVIE?

Generic and Hard to Follow Plot While Pixar has great simple plots that are unique in their own special way, Cars 2 has a boring and generic Spy plot that has a preachy message about being yourself. It is also confusing and boring most of the time. It also a an environment message that feels out of place in a Pixar film. It is still a decent message though.

  9. It led to the Planes Duology After Cars 2 released, its box office success and Popular Die-Casts, Disney decided to make two more movies about Planes. While they did well at the box office, they received mixed to negative reviews with them being considered some of the worst disney movies, mostly the first one. Thankfully they weren’t made by Pixar.

  10. It is literally a sequel to Cars After the massively successful Toy Story 3 (2010), Pixar had several options for sequels. The Incredibles, Ratatouille, in fact they could have taken some ideas from the short lived Circle 7 Animation, They instead chose to make a sequel to their Lowest ranked Movie.
