What are Citrus Rust Mites?
Citrus rust mite attacks the outer exposed surface of the fruit. Fruit blemish occurs from infestation by huge numbers of mites on green, immature fruit in summer/autumn.
Symptoms
A slightly rough, greyish-brown blemish with outside edges deeper brown. The blemish shows up prominently when the fruit colours and becomes more severe the longer the fruit remains on the tree. Rust mites can also cause bronzing of leaves and green twigs.

Scale Insects
Scales are insect pests which spend most of their lives as immobile adults under a pink, white, brown, black or white coating, sucking the sap from stalks, leaves and stems. Here's how to identify and control them in your garden or indoor plants.
Sunburn
Sunburn is caused by excessive exposure to the sun. Hot and dry weather; poor soil and soil moisture; and plant positioning further exacerbates the issue.
Rust
Rust fungus is easily identified by the many orange or red pustules on leaves or stems which break open and release masses of spores.
