Accusative Pronouns[]
Just like in English we say "for me" not "for I", German says für mich. These are what are called accusative pronouns as they are related to the accusative case that we saw in earlier lessons. That's also why für Sie and für sie don't change, as feminine nouns don't change in the accusative case!
But I'm Huuuuungry[]
In English, you say "I am hungry." In German, you say that you "have hunger."
- Mama, ich habe Hunger... = Mom, I'm hungry...
Switcharoo[]
When using larger numbers in German, the way you'd say 28 would sound more like 8-and-20:
- fünfunddreißig = 35 (literally 5-and-30)
