For the longest time, I have had trouble swallowing pills. It can be a tiny little thing or a gigantic pill, but no matter the size it’s just plain hard for me to swallow. Some people can just toss them in their mouth and grab a sip of water and then it’s just gone, yeah that’s so not me!

You may already be familiar with the store brand Omeprazole tablet that’s been around for a while, but this new form of it dissolves on your tongue. Although some feel relief from their symptoms after 24 hours, it might take 1-4 days for the full effect.
If you suffer from frequent heartburn, 2 or more days a week, Omeprazole ODT can be a good option for you. Take 1 dose every 24 hours for 14 days to finish the treatment. Don’t take it for more than 14 days or more frequently than every four months, unless your doctor tells you to, of course.
So let’s not stop eating some of our favorite foods just in case we might get heartburn. However, it would be a good idea if you’ve suffered before and know you might get heartburn when eating your favorite foods to go ahead and be prepared for it. Ingredients
- 1/2 Medium Purple Onion, Diced
- 1/2 Cup Carrots, Diced
- 1/2 Cup Celery, Diced
- 1 Cup Red Bell Pepper, Diced
- 1 32 oz. Carton Chicken Broth
- 4 Cups Cooked and Shredded Chicken, Note: You can use a Rotisserie Chicken for this if you would like, I normally use Leftover Chicken.
- 1 tsp. Chili Powder
- 1/2 tsp. Garlic Powder
- 1 tsp. Cumin
- 1/2 tsp. Oregano
- 1 tsp. Paprika
- 1/2 tsp. Cayenne Pepper
- 1 1/2 tsp. Salt
- 1 tsp. Black Pepper
- 1 30 oz. Can of Crushed or Diced Tomatoes
Instructions
Combine All Ingredients in your Instant Pot.
Close the Lid and turn the vent to sealing.
Press the Manual Button, then set the Instant Pot to 20 Minutes
Use Natural Pressure Release for 10 minutes, then let all remaining pressure out of the instant pot using the quick release method.
Serve with all your favorite toppings!
