I have lived near Morgantown WV for my whole life. The atmosphere is good, very busy little town if you go into the College area. But otherwise it is very quite in the outer areas. Nice place to live.

Morgantown has a high entertainment value. There are things to do from shopping to hiking. This is a college town but also fosters a family friendly environment. College game day is a unique experience in Mountaineer country. This towns location is conveniently only an 1hr and half away from Pittsburgh international airport and just the city itself.

My overall experience in Morgantown has been a great one. Living in Morgantown I have gotten to attend some of the top-notch educational schools. Morgantown offers a family-friendly community environment with lots of activities, diversity, and creative arts opportunities. It has great medical facilities; sporting activities such as College Basketball, Baseball, Soccer, Gymnastics, and Wrestling. The outdoor hiking is phenomenal at Coopers Rock and the views at Dorsey Knob are unparallel. I like the sporting events Morgantown personally offers to the youth and collegiate. There isn't much that I would want to change about Morgantown or could say that needs to change about Morgantown.

I think the area is great. However, I am a college student and the area is very crowded with students and very hard to move around sometimes. It can be very congested at times as well.

Morgantown is a busy town with lots to do and see. There is lots of history and memories associated with Morgantown. Morgantown has always been home to me, and welcoming to anyone looking to make it home.

Morgantown is a very nice college town and is small enough for the average West Virginian to come and look around. Morgantown's biggest strengths is WVU sport events and WVU events in general. WVU football is a huge thing in the town and many events leading up to the first game to afterwards, makes any incoming students feel welcome and at home in Morgantown, WV. Morgantown also is constantly developing and bringing in new stores and businesses to cater to the younger population and families. The historic high street has many small businesses that an individual can support and buy from, allowing the consumer to feel more apart of the Morgantown community. Morgantown unfortunately has issues with getting around with the roads. It's hard to navigate for newer drivers and students. I'd like to see a map or a way to make this more streamlined for drivers.

I have lived in Morgantown for 5 years. I received my bachelor's in science in biochemistry and my bachelor's in Spanish. I then returned to receive my associates in Cardiovascular Technology. I like how close everything is, however, I would love to change the amount of traffic. It makes it difficult to get from point A to point B.

Morgantown is an amazing community. Although the infrastructure of the towns and cities are not built for the current population of students and residents. Traffic is a complete nightmare at most any time of day. Compared to larger cities and those who are used to more congestion, I guess it wouldn't be too bad. WVU football is a lifestyle here. So, much so, it's not just a game or a team. They actually shut the parking lot down to our local hospital for home games. Any given game day, you can see our local hospital parking lot filled with tailgaters and employees trying to find parking all over town.
The motto "Morgantown WV- where greatness is learned and couches are burned"
Morgantown is a great place to work, having higher pay rates than the surrounding counties, IF you can handle the traffic, students and congestion. Its worth it.

Morgantown is a town located along a river, nestled in the rolling hills of Northern West Virginia. This town has a lot of shopping, outdoors, athletic, and even academic opportunities. A R1 institution, West Virginia University, also calls Morgantown its home, and actively interacts with the community to make it better. Some things I would like to see change is better, and expansion of the public transportation. Whether it is self funded, or in collaboration with the local University, it could expand the outreach and convenience of commuting in Morgantown.

Compared to most other places in West Virginia, Morgantown is a great place to live in terms of activities to do, places to visit, and stores to shop at. There are good hospitals, restaurants, schools, and libraries. I do wish something could be done about the high drug use, and the homeless population had more assistance in getting back on their feet, but overall Morgantown is a fine place to live and a good place to raise a family.

The nature around the town is beyond gorgeous, but the actual city needs help. It has a large drug and homeless problem that makes students at WVU feel nervous.

Traffic is just always crazy since it’s a college town, rent is also insanely high and you hardly even get a decent place to live sometimes.

Morgantown is a fun college town that has many things to offer. If you're an extrovert that thrives on being social there are many opportunities to do so as there are many clubs and bars. Namely 123 and Starport. 123 is a club where you can hangout with your friends and enjoy live music, while Starport allows you to have competitive fun over arcade games with your close buddies. If that's not your speed places such as Morgantown Brew Pub and Primanti Brothers host trivia nights. During the day you can bounce between local coffee houses such as The Grind and Blue Moose cafe both are very warm and inviting with some of the coolest staff. Summer would definitely have to be my favorite time because there are always local events going on such as the monthly art walks on High street, where you can score some cool pieces for your wall or even collection. If you are more of an outdoors kind of person Morgantown has the rail-trail where you'll run into many people biking and even skating.

Love the town, hate the road conditions. Morgantown is fun and full of things to do, but the road conditions are terrible and the cost of living is high.

West Virginia is beautiful. The town of Morgantown is great. My only qualm about Morgantown is there isn't a lot of options to do as a young kid or adult. It would be great if there were more alcohol free activities.

I’ve lived here my entire life. Overall it’s a pretty great place to grow up. I could complain ”there’s not much to do here” however that’s what everyone from small towns say. I’ve spent my days getting to know people from all walks of life due to the university being here. I loved that part of my life as a kid. Always meeting new people, enjoying different cultures even though I live in West Virginia. I greatly appreciate getting to experience that here.

I was raised in Morgantown, West Virginia. The people here are friendly and warm. We will always help a neighbor in need. We host a local farmer’s market every Saturday except for the winter season. Downtown is lively; with multiple late-night establishments for dancing, drinks, and food. Our mountains are glorious- there’s really nothing like them! Beautiful hues of greens and blues cover the landscape in the spring and summer, and an assortment of red, orange, and yellow colors burst from the leaves of our forests. In winter, we see snow, a perfect amount around the holidays. We love to call this place home. Higher pay and more opportunities in the job market for the residents here would certainly make a positive impact on our economy. West Virginia has the potential to soar to new heights, granted we all work together and stay positive.

I love the diversity, the availability and wide variety of services and the sense of community. Of all the places I have lived, which is quite extensive, Morgantown has always felt most like home. During the school year, town is hustling and bustling, loud, live and flowing. In the summer months in Morgantown, things ease into a calmer environment. Locals really get a chance to come out and play when the college students return to their home states and towns across the country, and you can feel it. You can walk through town and see more people you know that you may have not seen as often during the school year.
