Is there different rarities of colors and is there any buffs to any? (I have orange color, is that rare or good in any chance?)

The family doesnt determine you nichiren colour, I got Red as a Himejima and got Pink/Purple as a Shinazugawa. It is purely by chance what colour you get when unsheathing your blade
