Predeceased by his grandmother, Gloria Franco & papa, Fred Mansen.
Devin was born August 19, 2000 in Santa Rosa, CA. He was raised and currently residing in
Rohnert Park, CA, where he attended Monte Vista Elementary School & Lawrence E. Jones
Middle School before he moved on and graduated in 2018 from Cardinal Newman High School
in Santa Rosa. He then went on to work for RC Cabinets & Closets from 2019-2021, ultimately
following his childhood dream to become a heavy hauler with Tight Access Excavation, landing
him his nickname of “Heavy Haul Dev”. He was so excited to have recently acquired his Class A
license.
Devin’s presence and affectionate smile would light up any room. He was known for his
hands-on ability to accomplish anything with pride. In his spare time he would be working in the
garage taking something apart and putting it back together. Such as a complete rebuild on his
Chevy Duramax Diesel motor as well as powder coating, and rebuilding the suspension and
axles. Devin’s deep love for his possessions was no comparison to the love he had for his family
& friends.
He and sister had a one-of-a-kind relationship; although they were separated by a 7-year age
gap, it was unnoticeable. From binge watching and reciting every movie, to celebrating
Halloween (especially handing out candy & using the fog machine), to chilling on the lake. Their
personalities were a perfect compliment, allowing one another the freedom to be their spunky
selves.
He had a special bond with his older brother that he cherished. Together, they were kids at
heart. Spending quality time riding dirt bikes, washing trucks and working side by side with one
another every day. They loved having fun together. Best friends looking up to one another.
Spending quality time with his family and friends at their family home at Lake Shasta was an all
time favorite. His ultimate get away.....boating, dirt bike riding, snowboarding & playing Mexican
Train & Beer Die with everyone. Devin introduced Lake Shasta to many friends and it had
quickly become their “go-to” spot on endless occasions. In his honor, we will be renaming our
Shasta house “Dev’s Place”.
Devin was the most PURE, genuine friend any of his friends could ask for. His friends respected
and looked up to him. He was always willing to drop what he was doing to come help his friends
with anything they needed. He always brought positivity, a sense of security and comfort to them.
His drive and passion for what he loved was admired as well as respected by all his friends.
Each and every friend can say, without a doubt, that he made them the people they are
today....and what great friends they are. His legacy will always be shown and carried on through
them. He was and will forever be their inspiration.
Devin worked hard, played hard & LOVED HARDER!
“I want to see if I can. I don’t know if I can.
I want to find out. I want to see.
I’m going to do what I always do:
I’m going to break it down to its smaller form, Smallest detail, and go after it.
Day by day, one day at a time.”
His Celebration of Life date to follow.
