Mix of gravel and sand

There is a large amount of gravel mixed into the sand. I’m not sure why the ratings are as high as they are when it is hard to tell if there is more sand or gravel in this “all purpose sand”. See the photo.

It is so easy to use. I was makeing a walkaway in the garden. I laid down the stones, then filled the area with the Quickrete bags. Used a brush to level the surface and then sprayed water on top. My walkway was ready the next day. Awesome impressive quick use product.

pretty amazing sand. we put a 2x4 across the bottom of the door frame and filled the kitchen with sand. it’s almost like we are having a beach party at every meal! A++ Home Depot for having such an amazing product!

I used this sand to fill weights for a cantilever umbrella. Worked just fine. However, I would note that ours wasn't dry. It was moist and that made putting it into the weight kind of difficult. These bags are normally stored outside at HD so I anticipated it might be this way; it wasn't a big problem. Worked well and it was a great deal!

I needed construction grade sand for my chicken yard. This did the trick. It was reasonably priced and the Home Depot staff safely loaded 6 bags for me during the pandemic. We have had a lot of rain lately and the sand has drained quickly and kept the area dry. I plan on getting more bags in the future.

The sand was perfect for my brick on sand patio project. The bricks that I ordered from Home Depot were also great. I enjoyed doing the project myself and saving money. The delivery driver was right on time and very helpful. He put the material right where it was needed.

Good for leveling our concrete block wall and for mixing with cement as extra ballast

We recently built a concrete block wall and used a bag of this to make sure that each block was level before gluing the blocks in place with construction adhesive. It worked well for this although there are some smaller stones in the sand which you need to look out for so that they don't stop the sand from compacting properly between the blocks.We also used it to add some extra ballast to a bag of Quickrete cement for the foundation we laid for the wall and it was perfect for this too.Good general purpose sand, easy to use on a building project and excellent value for money.

Overall the product was good and served the propose I needed. The bags were thin and did ripe easy and spill when transporting.

Good for sandbags

I bought this to fill up a 60-pound weighted sandbag to train/exercise with. It works well for that purpose and most other projects requiring all-purpose sand.

Used it for base before putting down concrete 12x12 pavers. Worked great to even out uneven ground. Fine grain enough with no large pieces of rock. Packed down nicely and made pavers nice and flat with no rocking or movement. I put down about a 3 inch base to accomplish a very sturdy walkway. Had product delivered due to weight of 14 bags along with other heavy products for my projects. Delivery driver very professional and placed 3 pallets in front of my house in the street where I wanted the delivery placed. Very pleased with the quality of product and the quality of delivery service.

Awful customer service. There was over 70bags in stock. I ordered 50, and followed up with a call to confirm that the order was processed and they had enough bags to complete the order (in line with what the website said). Then upon pickup, they were told the quantity wasn’t there because the service team sold the bags.

I placed an order the day before for curbside pickup (which I have done many times) and went the next day to pick it up. I checked in like you’re supposed to and sat and waited in that spot for 45 minutes. Once no one came out and curbside was no longer available. I went inside to pick up my items and the customer service person argued with me that they were looking for me in the parking lot. I told her I was in the required spot just like normal. And it took another 45 minutes for me to get my items in which the first order my sandbags were soaking wet and falling apart. I will simply not be returning to this location, purely for the fact that they have poor customer service. While waiting patiently for my items, I witnessed two people walk out of the store with carts full of items that they clearly did not pay for, and the staff turned a blind eye.
