This Shrimp Dipping Sauce is the answer to all my shrimp dipping dreams! It’s a quick and easy recipe inspired by Louisiana-style remoulade sauce. With a creamy, tangy mayonnaise base, it’s packed with flavor from spices plus a bit of ketchup, stone ground mustard, and Louisiana-born Tabasco sauce. A squeeze of fresh lemon is the perfect bright touch that plays so well with all kinds of shrimp, fish, and seafood!

  • Combine. Add all the ingredients to a bowl, then whisk to combine. That’s it!

Tips & Variations

You can make adjustments to this recipe to change up the flavor if you wish. Here are a few ideas for you:

  • Add layers of tanginess. For another layer of creamy tanginess, swap half of the mayo for sour cream.
  • Use homemade mayonnaise. If you like to make homemade mayonnaise, by all means, use that!

  • Shrimp. Of course, shrimp is the natural choice to serve with shrimp dipping sauce. My grilled shrimp recipe is quick & easy to make. Also try blackened shrimp,margarita grilled shrimp, orair fryer shrimp!
  • Fried things. Dip all sorts of fried deliciousness into this sauce, like fried pickles, truffle fries, or chicken fries. Southwest egg rolls would also be good.
  • Over salad. Make this dipping sauce into a salad dressing by whisking in some some olive oil and a little extra lemon juice or white wine vinegar.

  • ½ cup good quality mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon stone ground mustard
  • 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Tabasco hot sauce or to taste
