The Drover
Experience Omaha’s original whiskey steaks at The Drover. This neighborhood favorite has been known for over 40 years for their exceptional whiskey-marinated steaks. Gorat’s Steak House has been an Omaha tradition for more than 70 years. The Gorat family opened this restaurant in 1944, passed it down to their son, and was most recently purchased by a longtime Omaha restaurateur. The menu and environment stays true to the family-owned roots, quality and values that have attracted generations of visitors and resident “regulars” for decades. It’s a small, local, and romantic restaurant serving contemporary American cuisine in a picturesque setting.Because of their dedication to incorporating fresh ingredients and experimenting with unique gastronomic creations, V.Mertz’s menus change daily.
