I ordered Fischers pickled eggs from Amazon. They were horrible. No refunds. I threw them in the garbage and ordered Sweeler Pickle Juice from Amazon added sugar and viola fantastic pickled eggs. There was so much juice I shared with my neighbor and donated the rest to the Hugh School marching band (kids drink it for leg cramps).

I make my own with apple cider vinegar, salt, sugar, minced garlic & red pepper flakes. The store bought varieties have those mouthful ingredients I don’t trust & are not needed to preserve them.

I make 36 eggs a week and pickle them in equal parts white sugar (2c.), beet juice (2c.), white vinegar (2c.). Bring to boil. Turn off heat. In glass gallon Mason jar, place 36 eggs (hard boiled and peeled), into jar. Pour the saved (drained) beet slices into jar, over top of the eggs (to weigh down the eggs, under juice). Then pour enough juice to fill Mason jar. Place lid on jar, store in refrigerator. Eggs usually pickle within 3 days.
